Financial Assistance

As a major center for graduate study, UCLA offers a percentage of its qualified graduate students substantial support through several types of financial assistance. Awards are based on either academic merit or financial need, but the two types are not mutually exclusive. Current and prospective students interested in applying for financial assistance should read carefully the information contained in the Graduate Division's Financial Support page.

In addition, the Department of Epidemiology has a limited number of focused traineeships which provide fee and stipend support for doctoral students including the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Inter-school Training Program in Metabolic Diseases and the UCLA/USC Pre-Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Molecular Genetic Epidemiology of Cancer.
