Job OpportunitiesTENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Health Services ManagementThe Department of Health Services at the UCLA School of Public Health is seeking candidates for a full time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in health management. Responsibilities include teaching required and elective courses, research and service. The preferred start date for this position is academic year 2008-9. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applicants are expected to have an earned doctorate in management, health administration, public health, public administration or closely related area. The ideal candidate will have a disciplinary perspective in an area related to management and applied to health care including, but not limited to, organizational theory, organizational behavior, strategy, finance, industrial organization, quality improvement, operations management, operations research, or implementation science; and the potential for national recognition in health management research. Applicants should have strong quantitative and/or qualitative methodological skills, including research experience related to health care management or organizations. The Department is multidisciplinary, with a faculty that focus on health services and health policy, and includes sociologists, economists, psychologists, political scientists, historians, physicians and lawyers. The Department has academic programs leading to the MPH, DrPH, PhD and a research-oriented MSHS. We operate within a highly collaborative research environment with other UCLA schools and departments and Los Angeles-based research institutions including the VA HSR&D Center of Excellence and RAND Health.
