Meeting today's public health needs and preparing for tomorrow's challenges require a learning and working environment that will enhance 21st century training and inquiry. With your support, UCLA faculty can make significant inroads into solving public health's most complex issues and can train public health professionals for the future. Your gift to the UCLA School of Public Health demonstrates an investment in advancing public health in our local communities and throughout the world.

Outright Gifts
Gifts of cash, securities, or other property have an immediate impact on the School and its programs as they can be used to support a variety of current needs. Unrestricted gifts are especially welcomed as they can be directed to where the need is the greatest. Gifts may be paid immediately in one sum or over time as part of a formal gift pledge.

Matching Gifts
An employer's "matching gift program" is a way to increase the impact of your gift. Many corporations have demonstrated their support for UCLA by matching, or multiplying, their employees' gifts to the University. Before you make a gift, you may wish to inquire whether your employer participates in a matching gift program.

Endowment Gifts
An endowment is a fund that is maintained in perpetuity, and only a portion of the annual investment return is used for the purposes specified by the donor. The rest of the investment yield is returned to principle, allowing the fund to grow over the years and keep pace with inflation. Such endowments, which typically bear the name of the donors or their loved ones, reflect your interests and serve as an enduring testament to your generosity.

Planned Gifts
Planned gifts are gift arrangements that have specific tax advantages for the donor and often include lifetime income to a beneficiary or beneficiaries named by the donor. A planned gift may maximize your giving potential and may even allow you to ensure your future financial security or that of a loved one. For further information about making a planned gift or bequest to UCLA School of Public Health, visit UCLA's Office of Gift Planning Web site or contact us directly for more information. Our planned giving staff can work with you to create a legacy for generations to come.

Real Property
Land, buildings, residences and commercial property are all valuable investments in the UCLA School of Public Health. Real property can be donated through outright gifts or through planned giving arrangements. Our team of professionals is available to help make the most of your gift of real property, for you and for the School of Public Health.
