UCLA SCPH Co-Chairs - Hannah Valino & Tiffany Yim

Hannah Valino is a second-year Masters in Public Health student in Community Health Sciences. She graduated from UCLA in 2009 with a BS in Psychobiology and a minor in Southeast Asian Studies. Hannah’s public health interests are in child and family health

Tiffany Yim is a second year Masters student in the Community Health Sciences department. She holds dual degrees in Asian American Studies and Sociology from UCLA. Her public health interests include social epidemiology and childhood obesity prevention.


Director of Alumni Affairs - Joanna Burtner

           
Joanna is a first-year epidemiology master's student interested in studying substance dependent and mentally ill populations, particularly in Southeast Asia. She received her B.S. in psychobiology from University of California, Los Angeles in 2011. She is originally from Elk Grove, California and enjoys running, hanging out with friends and watching any and all Bruins sporting events!


Director of Communications - Tammy Liu

          Tammy is a first year MPH student in the Community Health Sciences department. She is originally from the Bay Area and
         completed her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley.



SCPH Speaker Series - Jessica Jew

Jessica is a second year MPH student in the Health Services department.  She is interested in health policy issues surrounding aging, long-term care and more broadly improving access to healthcare for poor and minority populations.  She graduated from Occidental College in 2006 with a BA in Diplomacy and World Affairs and hopes to move to Washington, D.C. post-graduation.


Treasurer - Christina Yip

Christina is a first year MPH student studying epidemiology. She is interested in global health and hopes to travel to Africa some time before graduation. She is from Brooklyn, New York and loves the arts and enjoys baking.
