Mission Statement:
To strengthen the social support, career networking, and advocacy efforts for UCLA School of Public Health students and alumni of color. SCPH, founded in 2001, provides opportunities for students across departments to express public health interests and also discuss health issues of concern to populations of color. SCPH contributes to efforts to improve the recruitment, retention, and graduation of students of color while maintaining ongoing involvement with alumni and community service organizations.
We are a recognized student group of UCLA.
Students of Color for Public Health seeking students to help plan Public Health Week 2012. Since 1995, communities across the country have celebratedNational Public Health Week (NPHW) during the first full week of April to highlight issues that are important to improving the public’s health. Come join a committee to help plan Public Health Week at UCLA! Students from all tracks and backgrounds are welcome. Please email ucla.scph@gmail.com for more information.
