Brentwood Post Office Gets New Name

Washington - The Brentwood Postal facility has a new name.

President Bush signed into law yesterday a measure to rename the facility in Northeast the Joseph Curseen Junior (case 16) and Thomas Morris Junior (case 15) Processing Distribution Center. D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton introduced legislation earlier this month to rename the facility after the two who died from inhalation anthrax.

The 47-year-old Curseen of Clinton and 55-year-old Morris of Suitland died last October after two letters laced with anthrax spores passed through the postal facility.

Brentwood has been closed since the discovery of anthrax. Full clean-up of the sprawling 14,000 square foot building is expected to get underway with a month.
