Edward Robbie, MPH

Eddie Ed comes to the Behavioral Epidemiology Research Group in 2008 after receiving his MPH in Community Health Sciences from UCLA.

Ed began his research career in the basic sciences at UCSF after receiving his degree in Genetics from UC. Berkeley.  After UCSF, Ed moved to the pharmaceutical industry where he worked on discovery and development for novel cancer therapeutics.  During these years Ed was involved in direct services to people with HIV in San Francisco and Tanzania.  More recently Ed has been involved with implementation and evaluation of a program with the Los Angeles County Department of HIV Epidemiology to engage underserved communities into HIV prevention and care.

At the Behavioral Epidemiology Research Group, Ed is involved with site management, data management and program implemementation of the rectal health, behaviors and microbicide acceptability study (U19) and co-manages the transmission behaviors of individuals with recent HIV infection with Leo Colemon.
