Kristen Hess, MS, MPH
Kristen is a doctoral Student in the Department of Epidemiology, UCLA School of Public Health. She received her B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Chemistry from Hope College in Holland, MI; followed by an M.S. in Biology from UC Irvine. After completing her studies in biology, she worked as a Research Assistant in a cancer research lab in the biotech industry. Deciding to leave the laboratory, Kristen received her M.P.H. from the UCLA School of Public Health. She has been a member of BERG since 2007. While at BERG she has worked on STD and HIV/AIDS research projects, including work on microbicide acceptability studies.
