Leonardo is a Public
Administrative Analyst with B.E.R.G. who holds
a Masters Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Leonardo Colemon has worked in HIV Research and Evaluation for over
5 years. Mr. Colemon was the Los Angeles area Coordinator for ‘Positive
Connections’, a 3-arm Randomized Controlled Trial funded by
the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH). This study
was conducted in 7 US HIV Epicenters and evaluates 3 HIV Interventions.
Mr. Colemon also gained research experience from coordinating a UARP
funded study looking at the behaviors of Men who have sex with Men
and Women. Additionally he has experience from the University
of California, Los Angeles in which he was project coordinator for
an HIV prevention study focusing on reducing risky sexual behaviors
of among young men of color.
For the NARLA project, Leonardo is responsible
for development and programming of the study questionnaire, and has
primary responsibility for managing the data. In addition, he will serve as liaison
with our community partners and will train staff members at their sites
during NARLA’s implementation, as well as monitor their progress
and provide feedback to their concerns as the project progresses.
