Dr. Detels is Professor of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases in the UCLA Schools of Public Health and Medicine. He has been a faculty member of the Department of Epidemiology since 1971. Dr. Detels is also the Principal Investigator of the Los Angeles Center of the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study. In addition, he serves as the Program Director of the National Institutes of Health UCLA/Fogarty AIDS International Training and Research Program and the Interdisciplinary Training in HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Program.
