Create a Web Site About a Surveillance or Information Topic

Choose a disease, subject, or condition for which you would like to set up a Internet based surveillance and/or information system. This system should include:

• home page (welcome message and purpose of site – links to all pages – should provide the visitor with enough information about what each page on your site contains)

• topic page (description of the project at your site, and include a page which gives a link to relavent reports which you should keep in a single directory on your Web site. You should actually save the reports from other sites and upload them to the directory in Tripod.)

• about page (describes the organization, and staff members, etc. (can include resume, bio, etc…)

• Links page (at least 10 annotated links related to your topic)

• report form page (list of fields/variables you wish to collect - does not have to be connected to an actual data base)

• comments page (using the FEEDBACK feature in FrontPage Express)

• search page (which will allow user to search your site)
  
• Information report (This should have a table of contents with links and anchors)

• use YAHOO map if you wish to show your business location and directions to get there: http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py

• include a calendar of events if appropriate.

• Use one ordered list

• all pages must have a header and a footer (using the INCLUDE feature in FrontPage Express)

• all footers must have a link to your e-mail address (either the one you created with YAHOO or a different email address)

• all pages must have a background color or image (use at least one custom background color – pastel).

• all text font’s must be formatted (FACE, SIZE, and COLOR). Use two different font types in common use. Use at least 4 different font sizes. Some text should be in colored. Show some centering of text, tables, and graphs. Use some italics, but no underlining except for links.

• at least the home page and the topic page must use tables to present your information. Include, some tables with borders and some without. Also have one example of a table within a table.

• at least the home page and the topic page must contain one image each related to the topic (each image file must be less than 10k in size) and should be linked if appropriated.

• insert horizontal lines where appropriate, and use 4 symbols.

• Use both "hard" and "soft" returns (<br>) in your pages.

• navigation through the site should be easy and clear (suggested it be incorporated with header and/or footer)

• your site must be at tripod.com or another site that supports FrontPage Extensions

• use of FRAMES (Optional)
