BRIEF HISTORY DURING THE SNOW ERA (1813-58)

Cornwall Terrace was named after an earlier title of King George IV, that is Duke of Cornwall.  The edifice was designed by young Decimus Burton in 1820 under the guidance of John Nash.  The original rough sketches for the terrace was drawn by Nash, then given to Burton for completion.  The terrace consisted of 19 houses.
