BRIEF HISTORY DURING THE SNOW ERA (1813-58)
From 1845 to 1877, the grounds of the former
Cremorne House (see figure), later used as a sporting club, were developed as Cremorne
Gardens. The property was named for Viscount Cremorne who bought the
Chelsea Farm house in 1785 and renamed it.
