From 1845 to 1877, the grounds of the former
Cremorne House (see figure), later used as a sporting club, were developed as Cremorne
Gardens. The property was named for Viscount Cremorne who bought the
Chelsea Farm house in 1785 and renamed it. BRIEF HISTORY DURING THE SNOW ERA (1813-58)
