The Hungerford Suspension Bridge is crossing eastward over the River Thames with the Hungerford Market on the viewers bank to the left.  The photograph was taken in 1845 by William Henry Fox Talbot.  The Lambeth Waterworks Company is to the left of the base of the bridge on the far side of the river.  The Lion Brewery, but not the Lambeth company, can be seen directly in back of the boat mast.
