Developer Robert McCulloch purchased the 1831-built London Bridge in the late '60s for $2.5 million.  He then spent more than twice the purchase price to have the 10,276 granite blocks, weighing more than 20 million pounds, shipped to Lake Havasu, Arizona where it became a major tourist attraction on the lake's east shore.
