BRIEF HISTORY DURING THE SNOW ERA (1813-58)
The hill was likely named in the fifteenth century for the flowers which grew here in abundance. It is 206 feet high. In the early nineteenth century, Primrose Hill was a popular site for those intending to end their grievances with pistol duels.
