BRIEF HISTORY DURING THE SNOW ERA (1813-58)

This small square was built in 1830, named after the Duke of Wellington (1769-1852) whose brother was rector (i.e., an Anglican cleric who has charge of a parish) of Chelsea from 1805 to 1836.
