In the center of Soho Square is a little house, about to fall down, but supported by adjustable steel supports and crudely painted to harmonize with the rest of the structure.  The view looks south, with the alleyway called Bateman's Buildings - the site of Snow's first home while at Hunterian Medical School - in the background at the right edge of the image. The arched window to the left is in the SE corner of the square.  In the past, the little house was only used to store the lawn-mower and provide a place for the gardeners to make a cup of tea. They now use the brown-green shed, to the left of the image.
