Orientation to Environmental Assessment

Monday—Friday, February 12-16, 2007 UCLA

Fee:  
$995 or $250 per day. Most course material will be provided on CD-ROM and is included in the tuition. A hard copy of the material may be purchased for $150.

Overview:  

Environmental responsibilities have been delegated to local governments for more HUD programs, such as Community Development Block Grant, HOME, and now public and subsidized housing.

Orientation to Environmental Assessment training goals: 1) To give participants hands-on knowledge and experience in conducting environmental assessments in accordance with federal law. 2) To brief the participants on more recent and relevant issues in the environmental field. 3) Raise the awareness and commitment to environmental issues.


Who Should Attend:  

Local officials, including public housing authorities and not-for-profits, who need environmental approval (24 CFR 50 or 58) for use of HUD funding.
