Additional Radiological
Reports
Note: The ^ symbol
represents cases in which there was not one company responsible for the materials-in
some cases there were several companies contracted to do the work, in others
no specific companies were named.
GRC = Groundwater Resources
Consultants, Inc. Tucson, AZ
ETEC = Energy Technology Engineering Center, operated for the U.S. Department of Energy and
is located at the Rocketdyne Division, Rockwell International
1990
- Area IV: Radiological Investigation
Report, 23 Mar 1990; correspondence, 27 Mar 1990; Box ROCK 2 (9) GRC
Provided in this report are radiological data from groundwater samples collected
from newly-installed monitoring wells in Area IV. A discussion of findings,
tables, and maps for on-site sampling are included.
- Radionuclides: Investigation of
Naturally Occurring Radionuclides in Rock, Soil and Groundwater, 1 Jun 1990;
Box ROCK 16 (8-10) GRC
The purpose of investigation was to identify the naturally occurring sources
of low concentrations of radioactivity found in groundwater samples collected
during previous investigations at the SSFL facility. The report includes a
review and discussion of site specific and regional geologic information pertaining
to naturally occurring radioactive elements, a summary of the results of radiochemical
analyses performed on site rock, soil and groundwater samples, and recommendations
for future radiological monitoring of SSFL groundwater.
1991
- Radiation Protection and Health
Physics Services (RPHPS): Recent Reviews of Rocketdyne Radiological Environmental
Monitoring, Safety Review Report, 28 Jun 1991; Box ROCK 25 (1-3) ^
During 1988-1990 four increasingly intensive reviews were conducted of the
Rocketdyne radiological environmental monitoring program and associated laboratory.
This safety review report presents a summary of these reviews, comments on
the findings, and provides proposed and accomplished actions in response to
recommendations. DOE, EPA review report, ORAU report (Berger report), and
Analytics peer review.
1997
- SSFL (97RC-02649): Final Radiological
Survey Report for Building T030, 030-AR-0001, [4 Apr 1997] 22 May 1997; Box
ROCK 68 (14) Rocketdyne, ETEC
This report, submitted to DHS, contains the results of a radiological survey
of building T030 on-site at SSFL.
