HSSA is a professional-quality student led organization representing all students currently enrolled in a program of study through the UCLA Health Services Department (one-year and two-year MPH, DrPH, PhD and EMPH programs).
To serve as the premiere professional student membership society of future health administration,
health policy and public health leaders, and fulfill the professional, educational and leadership needs of our members.
To fairly represent all Health Services students' interests.
To cultivate personal and professional development through social support, access to mentors,
and career networking opportunities throughout a member's tenure.
To strengthen the relationship between the day and executive programs,
between HSSA and the HS Alumni Association, and between HS students and health professionals in the field.
To apply our collective knowledge, skills and experience in meeting the needs of our community.
To diversify our funding sources by successfully pursuing external sponsorship and fundraising activities.
The student-elected HSSA officers are committed to the organization's mission and goals.
