Fall 2011 Admissions UpdatesAs our preferred due date for admissions is quickly approaching you might have many questions as you complete your application. To assist you in gaining information, it is important to first look at the Application Checklist and make sure you have submitted all your materials appropriately. The next step would be to check out the Frequently Asked Questions. At this time of year we experience an extremely high volume of calls. By first checking both of these sites many of your questions will be answered and you can avoid the waiting time on the phone. Please note that you can also use the SOPHAS portal to make sure all your materials have reached SOPHAS.Please do not worry about the “lag time” that SOPHAS takes to process applications. The UCLA - School of Public Health takes the date you submitted your completed materials online to both SOPHAS and the UCLA Graduate Division (hopefully prior to 12/1/10) as your official application date for submission. Processing does take a few weeks as we condense all the materials into one application file before for formal review begins. During that processing time you will receive an email from Sukhwinder Sagoo stating that your application is complete (including the transcripts you have sent to the UCLA - School of Public Health) or if there are components of your application that are missing. Please be patient as we process all the applications as quickly as possible. If you do have further questions please email sagoo@ph.ucla.edu or dclark@ph.ucla.edu. We look forward to receiving and reviewing your application! Dave Clark Assistant Dean for Student Affairs UCLA School of Public Health |
