Over a hundred UCLA public health, medical, premedical and other health professional students joined about 400 other California Health Professional students on each of the last two years, January 2009 and Januaryh 2010 in Sacramento to advocate with legislators for SB 810: California Universal Health Care Act!

Get the details and plan to go to next year's 2011 Lobby Day with PHSA and CAHPSA: in January 2011 (Date to be announced soon) in Sacramento!

PHSA Regular General Body Meetings, Council Meetings, Special Events and Social Events

The PHSA holds its General Body Meetings (GBMs) twice a quarter and sponsors a variety of other social, educational and community service oriented programs, plus fantastic social gatherings for public health students throughout the year. The PHSA interactive calendar is constantly updated with events, agendas and locations.

Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 12:00 Noon in Dean's Conference Room, CHS.

NEW GLOBAL HEALTH CERTIFICATE!

The Nov. 9th PHSA General meeting will feature an introduction to the Global Health Certificate Program with Dr. Gail Harrison, the director of the Global Health Certificate Program.

We meet two times a quarter and always provide food to attending SPH students and interested faculty.

This will be our first Council Meeting of the Fall Quarter 2009, where we will continue progress toward our goals for the current year.

PHSA GENERAL BODY MEETINGS (GBM)

 

Our first PHSA general membership meeting was held in October 2010 in the CHS - Dean's Conference Room. Lunch Was Served!

This was the FIRST GBM of PHSA for Fall Quarter 2010.
Many SPH'ers attended and enjoyed a catered lunch and found out what's going on with PHSA!
