AIDS WALK: OCT. 18, 2009 !AIDS WALK LA took place on the morning of Sunday, October 18th, 2009. The UCLA PHSA/RHIG team joined 30,000 other individuals and filled the streets of Los Angeles to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the world's first AIDS WALK. The team consisted of 18 walkers and a total of $470 was raised by three individuals: Vanessa Novoa, Gwen Barker, and Kristen Shuken. This year's AIDS WALK raised over $3,000,000. (Three Million Dollars!) to assist the men, women, and families living with HIV/AIDS. Thank you to those who registered and made it out to the 25th Annual AIDS WALK LA!
