Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Programs
Welcome to the student section of the UCLA School of Public Health web site. Our School is committed to
excellence through diversity. It is an exciting place to study, but your education should not be limited
to only the classroom. I encourage you to take full advantage of the numerous opportunities for collaboration
throughout UCLA and the Los Angeles community. UCLA is located in the most diverse county in the country and
thus provides unparalleled opportunities for research, teaching, and service.
During your time at UCLA, I encourage you to work closely with our Student Affairs staff in the Dean's Office
and in your own Department. They are well prepared and ready to assist you in your quest for a degree and a
career in public health. The Student Affairs Office offers information and resources designed to attract
and assist potential students with admission and to help current students with enrollment, advising, degree program
issues, and career counseling. Most importantly, the Student Affairs Office exists to help applicants and students
pursue their goal of becoming public health professionals.
