UCLA UMSO
The Undergraduate Medical Sciences Organization is sponsored by the UCLA Center for Student Programming. The organization welcomes membership from all undergraduates at UCLA, who are interested in a social approach to problems in health and medicine. We believe that discussing these issues will make us better doctors, nurses, and other types of health professionals.
Our mission is to educate and to learn about the political and social aspects of the health field from an approach as future health professionals. Meetings are scheduled every quarter and we encourage active participation, communication, innovation, and professionalism through intense discussions and debates. UMSO undergraduate members range from all career types in the health field, and all believe in preparing to deliver quality care to all people. Our interest ranges from Managed Care to Bio-ethics, with an attempt to better understand people as patients and the future course of the medical field.
