The objective of this public health
CD-ROM is to educate and to perpetuate awareness in issues regarding
health care. It is the hope and the intention of this committee
that young people and the general public will use this text and
the information gained from it, as an impetus to further their
knowledge on such issues, in order to become better voters, citizens,
and health professionals. It should be noted that the materials and text within the CD-ROM were gathered from collaborative effort. Individual sections within each chapter were written by undergraduate students who researched their respective subjects. Health care professionals and faculty preceptors subsequently reviewed selected sections in order to assure quality and factual information. The information does not represent the views of the entire committee, or the various participating groups, or any sponsors affiliated with this project. Given the interactivity of this CD-ROM, individuals have the right and freedom to view or not to view any portion that may offend them. It is recommended that students and instructors view materials that are pertinent to their needs and concerns. It is not the intention of the committee or participating groups to offend anyone. This CD-ROM may be used for non-profit instructional purposes only.
